BISP6

Sixth Workshop on

BAYESIAN INFERENCE IN STOCHASTIC PROCESSES

Accademia Cusano, Bressanone/Brixen (BZ), Italy

June, 18-20, 2009

PAPERS SUBMISSION

The BISP programme, as usual, contains not only invited senior and junior speakers, but also contributed talks (10) and posters. The Scientific Committee invites interested people to submit their work and contribute, as in the past editions, to the success of the Workshop. The Scientific Committee will decide which papers will be presented as posters and which ones will be a 15 minutes talk. As in the past, the decision about the type of presentation (talk or poster) is not based on the quality of the papers. Poster sessions, as experienced in many Bayesian conferences, are not the place for second rate papers but a big opportunity, especially for young researchers, to present their work in more details and have a better interaction with other participants.

People interested in contributing papers should send the abstract by e-mail to bisp6@mi.imati.cnr.it by December, 15th, 2008.

Contributors will be notified by January, 15th, 2009 about the acceptance of their paper.

Authors of accepted papers should register and pay the registration fee by March, 31st, 2009.

Authors are invited to submit their paper to the ISBA journal, Bayesian Analysis, by September, 30th, 2009. Bayesian Analysis is becoming a relevant journal among the statistical ones and steps have been taken towards the recognition of an Impact Factor, as certified for the other leading journals. The Scientific Committee of BISP6 and the Editorial Board of Bayesian Analysis invite to contribute to a special issue on Bayesian Inference in Stochastic Processes.
