Some quick background on the basics of Bayesian inference and MCMC methods will be given in the course.
Laptop computer with WinBUGS 1.4.1 loaded [Note: Participants need to register and obtain a
key
for unlimited use] and R, so that the participants can actively participate to the practical sessions. [See
Software
].
Participants will be expected to have downloaded WinBUGS prior to the school and to have worked through the on-line tutorial.
