This Meeting will provide an opportunity for M.S. students, Ph.D. students, post-doc and young researchers dealing with Bayesian statistics to connect with the Bayesian community at large, to exchange ideas, and to know people working in the same field for creating future networks.
The Workshop will encourage discussion and promote further research in all those fields where Bayesian statistics may be employed.
Moreover, the presence of a senior discussant in each session will allow participants to get advice and comments to their current research.
Theoretical and applied contributions are both welcome. All of you are invited to give talks and/or presenting papers for the poster session, throughout the 2 days. Deadline for submission is by February, 28th, 2013.
Accepted papers will be pusblished on the meeting website.
Moreover, after acceptance, authors will be able to slightly modify their paper to be published into a book of the series Springer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics (with ISSN).
Details about the format of the paper for the book (in accordance to the Springer layout) can be found below at "book chapter submission".
In order to promote the partecipation of a large number of participants, the Meeting is free and no registration fee is required (even if the registration is necessary). Also the publication in the proceedings book is freee.
The Workshop will be held in CNR-IMATI, Milan, starting the June 5th in the morning and ending the 6th at noon, just by the start of the Eighth Workshop on Bayesian Inference in stochastic processes (BISP8).
We are happy to organize an informal dinner for all the participants on June 5th in the evening.
Information is available on:
The Meeting is organised by CNR IMATI (Istituto di Matematica Applicata e Tecnologie Informatiche - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche).
The Meeting is followed by the Eighth Workshop on Bayesian Inference in stochastic processes (BISP8), which is organized by the CNR-IMATI in the same venue.
The Meeting is endorsed by j-ISBA (Junior section of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis) and y-SIS (Gruppo giovani della Società Italiana di Statistica).
